What do you do in your role at The Next Step?

I help manage the daily financial transactions, estimates, invoices, payments, etc. ensuring that we keep the books clean.  I help with projects like photography.

How/when did you first become interested in this type of work?

Photography has been a long-time passion for me.  I enjoy putting together books for the family of photos of our time together.  The finance area is more recent, I am learning more about it every day.  I started doing investing as well on the side, it’s fun bringing it all together.  

What aspect of your job brings you the most satisfaction?

I have always been detail-oriented and enjoy understanding all the aspects of how systems work.  The more complex something is the more fun it is to break it down into manageable steps.  Getting things organized with a solid, repeatable process is awesome.

What unusual, non-work-related skills do you possess?

I have my Doctorate in Chiropratic and treat patients as they need me.  I also have sold wine for several years and understand a lot about the topic.

How do you like to spend your free time?

Running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
