What do you do in your role at The Next Step?

As the President of The Next Step Inc. my focus is on developing our culture, systems, and customer experience for the benefit of our customers and internal teams. It has been my mission and purpose to create an environment where people are not just a number and can be fostered to do their best work.

Mechanical Engineering (University of Minnesota), MBA (Carlson School of Business), Board Member for Manufacturers Alliance, Certified Lean Practitioner, Certified Verbal Judo, Certified in Hostile Situation Management, Chairman of Synodical MN Delegate Conference, President/Treasurer for local congregation. Where is your favorite vacation spot and what makes it your favorite?

My wife and I enjoy traveling. For me, it’s not about a specific place; it’s about who you meet along the way. The short interactions with a waiter at a café in Italy or working with kids at a school in Chad (Africa) or business dinners with customers in Japan. Each encounter provides an opportunity to learn and share. After traveling to almost 50 countries and 6 contents I am regularly reminded that we have a lot more in common then we realize and often want very similar things.
