Job Summary

The Accounting Assistant is a key member of our team who will be responsible for assisting the Accounting Leader with all aspects of monthly revenue reconciliation, vendor payouts and month-end reporting. You will have the exciting opportunity to assist the department with ensuring compliance with government agencies along with corporate policies and procedures. We will further rely on you for ad-hoc reporting, special projects, event planning, executive support and other duties as assigned. Fully remote position with flexible work hours

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate accounting system to make recommendations on accounting management function.
  • Report financials as required.
  • Review, reconciliation and resolution in regard to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform required maintenance of systems and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Must have experience with bookkeeping/accounting and general office functions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Understanding of accounting/financial terms.
  • Ability to interpret abstract information.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong Excel skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
